About Camila
Completing a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at UNSW while currently pursuing a PhD, I often find myself balancing academic research with the practical realities of high school tutoring. Working with ATAR students and university freshmen over these 9 years has shown me that technical precision is the primary gap between average and exceptional performance.
My approach integrates insights from the RBA and Treasury into the core syllabus to build a sophisticated understanding of how markets actually function. I handle complex concepts like game theory and market failure by breaking them down into manageable logical sequences for students. Essay technique is the specific area where I coach candidates to refine their arguments and structure their analysis with surgical accuracy. This tactical methodology is designed specifically for those aiming for the highest possible marks in their assessments.
I have spent nearly a decade mentoring high school students to synthesize data and economic theory into cohesive, high-scoring responses. My career as an economist provides a unique perspective that turns abstract textbook definitions into real-world case studies for my pupils. Have you considered how your current analytical framework matches the rigorous requirements of the final exam marking criteria?

Graph paper sits ready on the desk as we start the essential diagram drills that form the backbone of every single session I conduct. These repetitive exercises are designed to ensure that supply and demand curves are plotted with absolute precision under timed constraints. Analyzing national income data or monetary policy becomes much simpler when the student can manipulate the visual models intuitively and without hesitation. I guide university freshmen and high schoolers through these intensive cycles to build the muscle memory required for high-stakes testing.
Building this visual fluency allows us to spend more time on the nuanced logic of international trade and behavioural economics during our meeting. Integrating these drills ensures that no student walks into an exam room feeling unprepared for the data response components of their papers. Mastery of these core technical requirements guarantees a competitive advantage in your results.
