About Ray
My name is Ray Braiteh and I am originally from Lebanon. I moved to the U.S. in 2012 when I was 14. I studied in Las Vegas and then I transferred to UNR in 2020 (in the heart of COVID) from UNLV. I am a UNR Biological Sciences graduate with an emphasis on pre-professional. I was also a TRIO-STEM participant. I will be applying to medical schools during the 2023-2024 year/cycle. My goal is to become a pediatric neurosurgeon with a subspecialty in endovascular neurosurgery. In my free time, I volunteer with the Northern Nevada International Center (NNIC) to help immigrants coming from all over the world find a nice home and get settled in Reno. I love to play soccer and “Left Wing” is my position. I also love watching the sport (FC Barcelona & Brazil). I also love playing the piano by ear (I make my own music) and also love hiking and anything that can give me an adrenaline rush. I am currently trying to learn how to play the guitar and the Duduk (Armenian flute). This semester will be great and I look forward to meeting all of you.
