About Charlie
Hi, I’m Charlie!
I have recently completed my A-Level Geography, achieving an A* and I am taking a gap year before going on to study Geography at University.
I have always had a genuine passion for Geography as I have been fascinated by how interconnected it is, from the places we live, to larger scale topics like climate change - it truly shapes the world around us and is prevalent pretty much everywhere!
I want to share this passion with my students and show them that Geography is so much more than simply ‘rocks’ and learning case study facts. My aim is to make lessons fun, engaging and relatable by connecting topics to real-world events. I hope to inspire my students and deepen their curiosity about the world around them, whilst building their confidence and helping them have more developed geographical knowledge.

My aim is to make Geography enjoyable, accessible and engaging whilst helping every student develop confidence and achieve their individual goals. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit their individual needs whether that's their strengths or areas of development.
I like to make my lessons interactive rather than simply learning through passive textbook reading. I use clear explanations, real-world examples, quizzes and exam-style questions to reinforce active recall in aim to maximise learning. I encourage students to ask questions, be inquisitive and never feel any question is ‘silly’ or ‘stupid’. I believe that creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes is one of the best ways to learn and build self-confidence.
Lessons will typically be 60 minutes, however I am open to adapt dependent on the student needs.
I have recently finished my Geography A Level where I achieved an A* and am going on to study Geography at University. Having only recently completed the course myself, I have a strong and up-to-date understanding of the knowledge, skills and exam techniques needed to succeed. I can offer current, first-hand advice on revision strategies, exam techniques and how to approach different question types, based on methods that helped me achieve an A*.
I understand that Geography can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when it comes to learning large pieces of content and countless case studies! My aim is to make areas feel more manageable by breaking topics down into simple, memorable explanations.
My lessons are aimed at GCSE Geography students of all abilities. Whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, looking to improve their exam technique or aiming to push towards the top grades. I am willing to work with them at their own pace to help them become more confident and enjoy Geography along the way.
