About Lucy

I am a Primary education student currently in Second year of University at Northumbria. I love reading and dancing. Since I Was 16, I have worked in a tuition centre as my part time job whilst studying for A-levels at Bacup and Rawtenstall Grammar School. My favourite subject at school was psychology because I found it fascinating learning how people learn best and grow, I find this is very useful to my degree as well as when I tutor.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to cater each lesson and programme to the child and their own ability. I strive for each child to unlock their full potential by focusing on areas of their learning that need more attention in order to progress. If they are able to further their understanding of a topic this builds confidence in themselves and their abilities which I think is vital so children remain engaged in education. I have found over the years children engage more with learning that involves stimulation and activities which is why I try and incorporate this in to each lesson as I think it’s very important that children enjoy learning as well as benefit academically from it. I offer both one and two hour lessons for Maths and English personalised to each students ability and needs.
