My name is George and I am a friendly, caring and enthusiastic Primary school teacher in London. I can support children who need that extra support and help and can challenge children striving for entry into their desired Secondary School.
I have been a Primary school teacher for 4 Years and in that time have helped pupils pass entry exams into grammar schools and also have helped those that struggled to read and write be able to do so .

I am a friendly, responsible, twenty six year old, that is determined to pursue a career in primary education. I want to help pupils fulfill their full potential,
within an environment that is nurturing and caring. Being a fully qualified
primary teacher keeps me focused and ambitious, and willing to help on a variety of educational platforms.
I passed my PGCE in Primary Education from Goldsmiths, University of London and am currently in my second year as a Year 3 teacher at Aerodrome Primary Academy in Croydon, London.
2013 (October – March 2014) – Volunteering at Atwood Primary School as a teaching assistant. This allowed me to gain experience within a school, where I learnt how to interact with children and also gain an idea of what is required to be a primary school teacher, to help me with my application towards a PGCE in 2014.
January 2014 – Volunteer teaching assistant at St. Nicholas Primary School for a week. This is a SEN school that has been awarded the ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. Whilst at St. Nicholas’s I worked with children from both KS1 and KS2 that had a variety of special educational needs.
March 2014 – A paid teaching assistant role at Tweeddale Primary School in Sutton. Working 1 to 1 with two children, one year 3 and the other year 6, who both have behavioral issues, and require guidance and counseling from myself.
September 2014 - Started a Primary PGCE at Goldsmiths University. Completed my first 13 week placement at Ridgeway Primary School in a year
5 class, achieving an overall grade of 'good' and also played a part in contributing to the school receiving an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report.
February 2015 - Start my second, 3 week placement, at Millennium Primary
March 2015 - Begin my final 8 week placement in a year 1 class at Millennium Primary School and played a part in contributing to the school receiving an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted report.
July 2015 (3 weeks paid role) - A Senior Mentor for a group of 13 young people for the charity NCS The Challenge.
September 2015 to July 2017 - Began as a newly qualified teacher at
Aerodrome Primary Academy in a Year 3 class in a challenging London school.
September 2017 to February 2018 – Working as a supply teacher at St. Barnabas School. Teaching Reception through to Year 6 on a weekly basis.
February 2018 to Present – Class teacher in a spilt Year 3 and 4 class with challenging behavior, at Hoxton Gardens Primary School.
When I became a student at Brighton University I started playing football and joined a team made up of friends within my halls. I am a determined runner, having completed the 2013 Brighton Marathon in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and The Spartan Beast Race in aid of Shooting Star Chase. In addition to this, I play the guitar and drums in my spare time, and have played in several bands. I have also volunteered for a variety of conservation roles and enjoy bringing this experience into the classroom. I am also a keen writer having published music reviews and written my own children’s book.
