About Kate
I am an experienced and conscientious teacher with a passion for teaching. I qualified in 2004 from Warwick University with a BA (QTS) with a specialism in Art. During my 4 years there I worked in a variety of schools in the state sector.
Since qualifying and moving to London 14 years ago, I have developed a wealth of knowledge and have an in depth understanding of the Key Stage 1 Curriculum.
I have since spent 14 years teaching in Key Stage 1 in Wandsworth and Dulwich.

I am a good communicator and listener and build strong relationships with both children and adults alike. My kind and compassionate nature and love of learning has enabled me to help children of all abilities using a variety of teaching and learning styles.
In the 18 years I have been teaching, my main aim has been to instil a long lasting love of learning whilst providing a rich and varied curriculum.
I have an in-depth knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum and have experience in assessing and levelling the key literacy and maths skills in preparation for KS2.
I can help your child with maths, creative writing, reading & comprehension, spelling, phonics and handwriting. I can also help with homework and other school projects.
