About Lexy
I have 15 years primary teaching experience and love to work in practical ways to help you achieve your best. I have also studied for my GradCert in Mathematical thinking, looking at the best way to teach Mathematical concepts to learners. I have my NPQ in Leading Teaching and I am currently studying to become a Waldorf Education practitioner. These three courses have given me lots of strategies to help get the best out of my learners. I like to engage learners as practically as possible and have a range of techniques to help get the best from my students.

I have experience of all year groups across Key Stage 1 and 2 and would like to help you achieve your best in Maths and Science. I have experience as Science lead and a GradCert in Mathematical thinking and love to adapt my work to help students achieve their best abilities through either practical activities or written work. We will work through concepts using the CPA method. First we will use concrete resources to help the learner, where appropriate. Then we will move on to pictorial representation, before talking about abstract concepts. This rhythm will help learners gain a solid knowledge of new concepts, and help them gain mastery of their Mathematical knowledge.
