About Richard
I am a former British Gurkha Officer and qualified Mountain Leader and Rock Climbing Instructor, with extensive mountaineering experience leading groups in different parts of the world. I grew up amongst the mountains of the Lake District, which I consider to be my backyard, and love sharing my passion for the region with new people.

When leading individuals or groups in the mountains, my philosophy is to enhance the experience of being immersed in beautiful surroundings with local knowledge of flora, fauna and history. In addition, I encourage to learn how to be safe and self-sufficient so that they can enjoy adventures on their own in the future. This could include advice on equipment, through to how to navigate using a map and compass.

Details
Daily rate is £130 for up to 4 people. £20 for each additional person up to a maximum of 6 people. Transport from Lancaster to the Lake District can be provided for an additional £5 per person, if required.
