About Shadan
I’m a composer and orchestrator with a Master’s degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music. My work spans film and video game projects - including the short film Juanita, which premiered at the Berlinale International Film Festival, and contributions to Destiny: Rising. Beyond composing, I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring emerging musicians. I love exploring music from different angles - whether through theory, orchestration, or emotional storytelling - and helping others discover their own creative voice. For me, teaching is not just about passing on knowledge, but about growing together through curiosity, analysis, and experimentation. I believe every student brings something unique to the table, and my goal is to help them develop confidence, clarity, and joy in their creative process.

My lessons are designed to bridge creativity and technique — guiding students from analysis to hands-on composition. Through detailed scene analysis and score study, I help students understand how music functions in storytelling and why certain choices work emotionally. Once we break down the structure, orchestration, and thematic design of a scene, we move into the practical stage: setting up your DAW, creating templates, and writing or rescoring scenes to apply what you’ve learned. This balance of theory, analysis, and creative work helps students develop both their technical workflow and their artistic voice. Lesson Format: Each session lasts 45–60 minutes, tailored to your goals and experience level. Lessons can focus on composition, orchestration, or cinematic music theory, depending on your interests. My Background: I hold a Master’s degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music. My work includes composing for the short film Juanita (premiered at the Berlinale International Film Festival) and contributing additional music to Destiny: Rising. I also work professionally as an orchestrator and composer assistant on film and video game projects. Who These Lessons Are For: These sessions are ideal for aspiring composers, producers, and musicians who want to kick-start their journey into film and game scoring. Whether you’re building your first reel, learning orchestration, or exploring cinematic storytelling through music, I’ll guide you through each step with a focus on creativity, clarity, and professional growth.
