About Shauna
I have a Bachelor of Science from Central Connecticut State University in Education & Fine Arts in Theater. I have been involved in the performing arts (acting, stand-up comedy, podcasting, and character work) for many years. I have a great love of reading and writing, which has always been the backbone of my creative work. I love teaching private English lessons, and I also specialize in STEAM-based learning solutions. I find science and art to have a similar methodology, and experiments are fun!

I create individualized lesson plans tailored to each student's needs. I do this by conducting an initial assessment and interview to determine the students' needs and preferences. I use these to provide the proper exercises and lessons for their growth moving forward. What sets me apart is my ability to connect with a wide range of students, and I have a great sense of humor! I provide feedback after each lesson and continue to adjust as the student's needs change.

Perfect! My son has been her student since we moved to the US in July 2023 and her expertise and support definitely made him adapt well and faster to the new school as well as significantly improve his English. She is a very serious and competent professional, great with kids! We are very glad we found her.
Perfect! My daughter studies English for the first time. The tutor is very cheerful and friendly, so my daughter enjoys her class without being nervous. She tries to make my daughter interested in English. For example, she incorporates songs and games into her lessons.
