About Zahra
I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Clinical Aesthetics), and I’ve always had a strong interest in health, science and skincare. Teaching has always come quite naturally to me. Even at school, I was the person my friends would come to when they didn’t understand something, especially in subjects like PDHPE. I genuinely enjoy explaining things and helping people understand concepts in a way that actually makes sense to them. I’m naturally very friendly, patient and easy-going, and I like getting to know my students as people rather than keeping everything strictly lesson-focused. I think it makes a big difference when a student feels comfortable enough to ask questions and be themselves.
Outside of studying and tutoring, I love going to the gym, spending time with friends and keeping busy :)

How I teach
My lessons are really interactive and tailored to the student. I use my iPad as a digital whiteboard through Zoom, so we can work through questions, diagrams and concepts together in real time. I have my own resources, including notes, practice questions and past papers, and I like to mix teaching with lots of discussion rather than just talking at the student. I’m patient and I’ll always take the time to explain something in a different way if it isn’t clicking. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and saying “I don’t understand” no question is a dumb question.
