I am able to teach a range of levels, from novices looking to understand to the world of Music Technology, to students looking to perfect their art and get ahead in the game. I am a friendly and easy-going person, which makes me for a relaxed environment. Through each lesson I hope to engage my students as individuals, tailoring the tutoring and approach to match their expectations and needs.
I am an experienced sound engineer, producer, DJ and programmer with a BMus Music Computing degree and research fellowship at Goldsmiths University. I grew up practicing music on keyboard, saxophone, organ, drums and more, taking lessons in Jazz & Pop music. At A Level I took Music Technology and received a high A*, with full marks in my coursework, alongside Music A Level receiving an A with full marks in coursework.
Since arriving in London 3 years ago I have received 1st class honors in my Music Computing degree and have worked on programming projects, specializing in surround sound technologies. I regularly DJ professionally at both small and large venues, as well as producing in my own time and for projects. I work professionally as a sound engineer for Sound Services as well as a freelance technician, engineering some of the biggest venues in London.
I am keen to help students with a wide range of Music Technology lessons, from the basics within ProTools / Ableton Live / Reason, to more advanced production and engineering. I have great experience on professional DJ technologies, and can provide lessons on CDJs and Vinyl mixing, as well as digital options. My wide-ranging experience means I can deliver unique lessons that can cover a variety of subject areas within Music Technology, and their applications in the real world.
Rates may vary according to level, what equipment is required and timings. Please contact me for more information, happy to tailor a cost for each person.

Charles' extensive experience and great communication skills allows him to be an easy to understand and clear speaking tutor, from who it is easy to learn and pick up new skills from.
He is a great colleague, collaborator and friend. Over many years I have worked with him in several projects, each one has been a success mainly due to Charles' knowledge and dedication. A smart and empathetic soul, I have learnt a lot from him, and look forward to learning more in the future.
