I fully remember what the pressures of school and exams are like, so I work with my students individually to support them through school. I focus on three areas: building confidence; an individual teaching plan to cover any gaps in knowledge; and a personalised exam strategy to achieve those top grades.
I am a professional Maths and Science tutor, based in an education centre. I teach students from primary school all the way up to GCSE level.
The most important years of school are during year 10 and 11, where I take students though their entire GCSE course, supporting their school studies and providing additional revision materials. The huge benefit of 1-2-1 tuition is that I can really focus on any individual knowledge gaps. My students surpass expectations at school, with one of my recent students going from a grade 4 in Chemistry to a grade 9 in her GCSE mock, in only 5 months.
I love what I teach, and my aim is for my students to enjoy it too. GCSEs can be stressful, so my lessons are focussed around utilising their strengths and building on their knowledge, increasing their confidence in themselves.
My background has always been involved in teaching and science. I studied Aerospace Engineering at Bristol University, and was awarded A*AAA at A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. At GCSE I gained 10A* grades. Since leaving university, I worked at Airbus Aerospace, designing commercial aircraft, before branching out into Education after getting involved in their outreach programmes in schools. I have experience working as a science presenter in primary schools, where I delivered structured, fun science lessons to an entire class.
My role now is helping students get the best head start in life, by gaining the GCSE grades they are hoping for. With over 4 years of experience in tutoring, I am adaptable and flexible, writing each individual lesson plan every week to make sure that the student gets the best support for them, in a way which works with their learning style.

Abigail is so friendly and patient. She is both encouraging and helpful with constructive comments. She has inspired me to paint after a long break and continues to is always full of ideas. On days when my confidence is low she boosts my morale. Her artwork is beautiful - a standard anyone would be glad to aspire to. She is reliable, honest and hard working. I would recommend her unreservedly.
