About Saptorshi
I have been playing chess for the past 16 years. I have played in numerous state, national, and international tournaments in Asia, New Zealand, and Europe. (concealed information) Currently, I am a PhD student in New Zealand. I continue to play chess professionally and train ambitious players.

I start with analyzing past games of my students and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. I believe in training and paying equal attention to all sections of the game - opening, middlegame, and endgame. I make tailored training plans for my students and provide daily and weekly homework and targets.

Saptorshi is a fantastic chess teacher. As an adult student, I have really valued the balance he strikes of being supportive and encouraging, yet also being direct and frank about my level. He is very easy to understand and his teaching approach/methods make sense - and work!
