About Oriana
I come from a lineage of pianist/violinists in my family and have trained in music schools mainly in NYC. (Kaufman Center, Juilliard). I didn't always enjoy the approach to music learning I was exposed to and learned to enjoy is more as an adult through music history and free exploration.
Favorite composers are Ravel, Debussy, Schumann, and Scriabin!

My approach is very relaxed, despite my own rigorous background, I like lessons to be centered on having an inquisitive mind when exploring music. I love incorporating music history so the student knows why the composer might have written something, and how to interpret it their own way.
I work best with people with basic musical background , from children - adults.
If you are practicing for a test, I can assist with this as well - but I tend not to be test oriented in my teaching.
