About Naomi
I have worked in two piano music schools for the past 4 years. Before that I was teaching students privately. I have brought students from complete beginner to playing full songs and classical pieces with confidence. I hold quarterly recitals, and my students’ family members are always admiring of the progress they hear in my students from one recital to the next. Beyond just teaching music, I care about each one of my students. For example, a young student came in with pain in their arm. Instead of a lesson as normal, I turned it into a great listening experience, and they left with more musical knowledge. I treat each student with utmost respect and care.

I’ve had many students come to me saying that their previous teacher didn’t seem to understand who they are and what they want. I make that my first priority. I don’t have a “one-size-fits-all” teaching style. I currently teach about 35 students, and my lessons are different with each person because of their individual goals, strengths, personalities, and interests.
I am a classically trained pianist. But I also play gospel style piano in church, I’ve played in and Rnb/Neo-Soul Band. I’ve taught rock songs, pop songs, Disney songs, and musical theatre. I’ve taught students how to read to a professional level. I’ve also taught them how to learn a song completely by ear. My well-rounded life as a musician helps me meet all my students where they are at.
