About Robert
I am a freelance classical musician specialising in conducting and voice, who graduated with a first class music degree from The University of Manchester in 2014 - I have been teaching privately alongside my performing career ever since. My professional experience of singing started as a chorister when I was just 8 years old, whilst I also have been playing the piano and cello from the ages of 3 and 8.

I like to base my teaching on the most up-to-date technical and scientific information available, without overloading a student with information. I therefore use this knowledge to tailor incremental exercises, techniques and metaphors which are accessible and practical to my students, depending on their individual needs. I also like to keep things somewhat fun and unpredictable, and to bring in different areas of musical knowledge/history/theory as is appropriate.

Any in-person lesson (not including cello) will be taught at the Jacques Samuel Piano Rooms 142 Edgware Rd, London W2 2DZ.
All Cello Lessons are taught at my home, a 5 minute walk from Clapham Junction Station.
Sadly I do not offer free first lessons - it is impossible to deactivate this option on the website.
