DeAnna Rowe is an incredible educator. I had the privilege of studying under DeAnna in multiple courses during my graduate school educationat the University of Memphis. Her knowledge, patience, and kindness are just a few of the traits that enables her to be a supportive and engaging mentor and instructor. She excels in offering helpful and considerate council. Any students who study under her, find themselves empowered with knowledge and confidence, as she never fails to build-up and support others. Furthermore, she is one of the most approachable educators I’ve ever known, which is a rare quality few possess. I am forever grateful for the education I received through DeAnna Rowe, and I highly recommend her.

I took Mask Making and Costume Design from DeAnna at the University of Memphis. She is great at teaching a group with an awareness for the individual needs of each student. Her enthusiasm for your project or design gives you the courage to think outside of the box. Beyond that her own work reveals a demand for perfection that is infectious. I'd love to take another class from her.

DeAnna is so skilled, kind, and determined. She gives her student the tools and help to succeed! When I was in the Costume Shop learning from her, I gained more knowledge in that year then I ever had before. She is an amazing teacher and person!
