About Dominique
With 20 years of sewing experience having my first machine back in around 2001, it's something that I have been passionate for and I am confident in. I am qualified and experienced in teaching within schools, previously. I have been a Tutor previously for children in the past delivering lessons in English and Maths, however, now I am a small business owner I am focusing on helping Adults and Young People learn to use a sewing machine and feel confident to start garment making or sewing projects themselves. I invite tutees to my home or studio to learn where I have all the equipment that you'll need, I also provide handouts as we go along. Please enquire within.

I provide each student with a scheme of work and provide the equipment and machinery. I will also give a resource for each student to keep at each stage of the course to help guide them through the sessions and tutorials. I offer tuition on subjects such as seams and sewing principles to zips and more. It's a beginners course so it will supply help with learning foundational sewing skills, knowledge and inspiration for those looking to do this as a hobby or even providing a firm sound knowledge on which to build from for more. Each session lasts 1 hour and the course runs for 5 sessions. Everyone is different and unique so is the way they learn and I am able to accommodate this. I also encourage questions along the way and practice.
