About Hannah
I have over 5 years experience as a private flute tutor and I love working with students of all ages and abilities to help them grow into confident and accomplished players!
I work as a professional composer specialising in music for film. The skills I use as a composer have all stemmed from learning the flute from a young age. I am also a touring musician and have played in a variety orchestras, ensembles and bands. I encourage my students not only to develop strong technical abilities as flute players, but to become all round musicians and see where this takes them!
I have worked with many young school aged students, taking them from absolute beginner stages though to passing advanced grade exams. Many of my students go on to study music during GCSE, A-level and beyond. Learning flute is the perfect accompaniment to succeeding in music academically and I offer support through all further music education.
I also teach adults of all ages! Whether you are a beginner who’s always wanted to play flute, or have played in the past and want to get back into it, I am here to support you in achieving your musical goals. I love taking students to the next level of their playing, expand on their skills and enjoy exploring music!

I am a passionate and friendly teacher and I believe that technical training comes hand in hand with creativity and fun. I love offering tailored tuition for my students, whether you are working towards grade exams, want to learn jazz and improvisation, or wish to compose your own music. I have grade 8 flute (with distinction) and I am currently studying a masters in music composition at Goldsmiths. I've been a private tutor for many years, teaching both school age students and adults, beginners to advanced. I teach classical (from Baroque to contemporary classical), jazz, music theory and composition. I like to offer students many avenues to explore their musical horizons. I offer zoom lessons of 30mins, 45mins or 1hr.
