About Sara
I teach students of all ages and abilities. I have given masterclasses at Royal College of Music (London), 'G.Verdi' Conservatoire (Milan) etc. I am currently teaching flute at Young Music Makers and Chepstow House School, both in London and have a lovely group of private students. I have helped my students prepare hundreds of successful exams both with ABRSM and Trinity. I have performed extensively as a soloist in the UK and abroad, including at London Contemporary Music Festival, Fairfield Halls, Kings Place, National Gallery, Vox Feminae (Israel), Klangspuren (Austria), Les Moments Musicaux de la Touraine (France), Pontino Festival (Italy) In 2016 I obtained the Artists International Fund Award from Arts Council of England which led to several performances in Israel. I received special recognition and awards at competitions including the Valentino Bucchi Prize in Italy and I was selected to perform in the International Ensemble Modern Academy 2014. I am the dedicatee of more than 20 new pieces for flute by a long list of composers. My CDs New Resonances and Where Song Was Born were released with excellent reviews from the Flute Journal, Guardian, British Flute Society, British Music Society etc They have described me as ‘ clearly a formidable exponent of the contemporary flute repertoire ‘ (Music Web International) and ‘ a virtuoso player with real mastery of avant-garde technique’(British Music Society) (concealed information)

I graduated both in Flute and in Music Education at Conservatoire and attended advanced flute courses. I have a thorough knowledge of my instrument and love to pass my knowledge on. Every student has their own potential and personality therefore my approach to teaching is unique for every student. I am a friendly and encouraging teacher. Playing an instrument should be, first of all, a pleasant activity so, keeping lessons fun and relaxed is important to me, regardless of the student's level of playing or ambitions. I teach at my home but also travel to the student's home, if they are within reasonable distance. My lessons can be 1 h or longer, 45 or 30 minutes.
