About Shahin
I am a PhD student in Electrical Engineering working on Laser Physics. I have been working as a teacher's assistant and tutor at the University of Victoria for the past 4 years, and recently been awarded an excellence in teaching award. Teaching is my passion and I have the experience and expertise required for it. My background is engineering and I am actively doing scientific research in physics and chemistry. Furthermore, I would like to pursue a career in academia, since I really enjoy teaching and helping others excel in their studies.

I believe the best way to teach science topics is to have real-world examples. I try to teach a subject in a way that is hard to forget, and fun to learn. I try to give relevant real-life applications and industrial examples of a subject matter to make it more relatable. After teaching the subject I would solve examples to make sure students know how to use the concept in solving problems.
