I'm an average self taught guitar player. Written a bunch of songs but really needed to broaden my horizon by learning much more about the guitar and about music and was in search for a teacher.

Luckily I met Michael through some mutual friends.

Firstly he's a top notch guitarist. But more importantly he's a brilliant teacher who is passionate and patient.

In the short year, my guitar playing technique has improved by leaps. Have tackled different genres from rock, classical, jazz, country and pretty much anything you'd listen to and have learned the right techniques of playing them. Started as basic as being uncomfortable with a pick or understanding basic strumming patterns, to learning Travis picking, how to solo, and several other things. Most of the lessons have been through learning songs all of us have heard, but many through exercises as well.

He's naturally helped me with my song writing styles and has helped with my confidence in how to approach gigs. My basic understandings of how to navigate the fretboard, and understand the fundamentals better.

Despite being so accomplished, he's very humble, and although many of my questions may have been silly to me, he was always patient and thorough in his responses.
