About Anna
CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR ON-LINE TUTORING MONDAYS TO THURSDAYS 10AM - 4PM AND AFTER 8:15PM. I love tutoring Maths and Economics. Having enjoyed studying the subjects myself when reading Economics at Cambridge University and then running my 2 start-up companies I can impart the passion I have for Maths and Economics to my students. I taught Maths for a year in a rural school in Southern Africa and I have tutored for a number of years since. Through this work I have the tools and experience to tutor students with a range of ability levels and learning styles. I adapt my approach to each student so that they have a rewarding tutoring experience. I feel very privileged to be able to be a full-time tutor. I love seeing my students succeed and set themselves up well for their next steps in life. I am an approachable and friendly tutor who aims to instil confidence in my students which will help them become confident young adults. I understand the importance of my work for the students I teach as well as their parents and always take an open, honest, organised and professional approach to my tutoring. My other loves include sport, travel and adventure. I have represented Great Britain Age Group team in the Age Group Aquathlon World Championships and have completed a number of adventure races, such as the Atlantic Coast Challenge – 67 miles from Padstow to Lands End. I have travelled widely and have a real passion for Africa I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2003 with a degree in Economics. After graduation I worked as an Accountant and Management Consultant at Ernst & Young for 7 years before leaving to set-up my start-up corporate health company called Spinach and then being head-hunted to launch a start-up in the UK called Athlete Lab. I realised my passion for tutoring in education and coaching in health and sport and have pursued these ever since. I now tutor in Maths and Economics, work for the charity called GoodGym and do some sports coaching/ personal training. PRICING: Please note the different pricing rates: GCSE & A-Level: £105/hr (online: £95/hr) Oxbridge prep/ interviews/ TSA: £120/hr (online: £95/hr) The different prices reflect the extra preparation/ marking time required for higher level tutoring. Charge applied will be amended to above rates post-booking. Anna is an excellent math tutor. Experienced and very helpful! We've been working on Numerical Reasoning Tests for applications to the Big4 (PWC, KPMG, etc) as I have been struggling with these for some time now.
She has provided me with strategies and tips to ace these tests and is also great at explaining certain concepts/formulas which I find challenging.

Anna helped me prepare for my professional numerical and verbal reasoning tests for my Heads of position. The level of testing was very challenging. Anna helped me with practice tests and used various techniques to guide me to finding the solutions myself and finally to understanding the patterns applied to these tests which really helped build my confidence.
