About Jonathan

I am the Head of Photography Training in the photography company I work at and have been teaching various types of photography for over six years. I have taught well over 50 people the ins and outs of photography, and those students have since flourished into professional photographers.

I have been a professional photographer for the past six years and I have a BA in Photography. I work with both analogue and digital cameras and have a vast amount of experience with both.

My work can be found at outlinephotos.com if you'd like to take a look :)

About the lesson

I adopt a one to one teaching style, to ensure that you get the best and most tailored learning and help. We'll go over the basics of cameras and how they operate and dive into practical photography, often going outside for photography walks, where you'll get help and inspiration. I'll also set tasks to complete between lessons to ensure you learn in the best way possible.

An excellent tutor. I am
Usually nervous about meeting new people but Jon was so easy to talk to and really made me feel comfortable! On top of that he is an excellent teacher, I can away clearer on how to perform some of the tricks I’ve been attempting after just one lesson than 5 with others!!! Highly recommend

Jonathan is an inspiring, trustworthy, loyal tutor who makes lessons fun and enjoyable! My son loves having sessions with him, it feels to him more like meeting a friend then being taught something. We can highly recommend him!

I bought a few lessons with Jon as I was interested in learning something new.

I haven't had the best experience with tutors in the past, i'm not really a people person and find a lot of them quite pushy, needless to say I didn't struggle at all with Jon.

He was a pleasure to learn from; friendly, easy to get along with and knowledgable, he is an excellent teacher and I picked up the basics very quickly under his guidance. I will certainty be returning for further lessons.

Really friendly guy and such a good teacher. Was good at giving constructive pointers on what I could practise in my own time and Jon made an effort to get to know me from the start. Nice and chatty and certainly not shy. We also covered quite a few tricks within the first 5 lesson block I bought. I would definitely recommend as he knows his stuff and really got me comfortable with the basic techniques early on. Also was flexible when it came to where we had our lessons which was nice.
