About Tom
Hello! I’m a professional pianist offering relaxed, friendly piano lessons for adult learners (18+) in the Ilkley area and online.
I work mainly with complete beginners and adults returning to the piano after a long break. Lessons are supportive, encouraging and tailored to your individual goals — whether that’s learning from scratch, building confidence, or playing music you enjoy.
There’s no pressure around exams unless that’s something you’d personally like to work towards.

I aim to make lessons relaxed, enjoyable and motivating. I focus on steady progress, good foundations and building confidence, while keeping lessons flexible and enjoyable.
Adults learn best in a calm, supportive environment, and I always adapt lessons to suit your pace and musical interests.
Lesson Format
• One-to-one lessons
• 30 or 60 minutes
• In-person in the Ilkley area or online via Zoom
• Daytime and evening availability
Online lessons are suitable even for complete beginners.
