About Sarah
I’m experienced in teaching and tutoring primary students in extra-curricular creative environments. Drawing on my undergraduate degree in visual arts and honours in visual culture, I help to spark children's natural curiosity and problem-solving skills through developing and delivering painting, drawing, printing, modelling and textile classes to four to twelve old children.
Drawing on my personal work and training as a portrait artist, I encourage young artists to develop the foundations of strong visual story-telling through self portraiture and still life study techniques.

These sessions focus on producing confident mark making with a variety of medium, and improving collaborative abilities through facilitated group work. All children learn fundamental fine art practices, such as; composition, perspective, tone, texture, contrast, colour theory, pattern, material manipulation and art history. My classes have received positive feedback from parents, who report an increase in engagement with mark making at home and school.
