Each student deserves a tailored approach that suits their individual personality, intent and musical interests. However, each beginner learns to breathe, how to hold their instrument and how to play a handful of notes, before - soon enough - getting some tunes in their head! This can be done by reading or by ear, or both, and then we build from that point.
More advanced students may benefit from my extensive arsenal of exercises and repertoire, from learning to improvise in a comfortable manner, and from getting into extended techniques on the instrument.
