Hello! I'm Gurparsad, a passionate and experienced software engineering professional with a strong foundation in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and web technologies. I began my journey as a self-learner, which means I deeply understand the challenges beginners face—confusion, overwhelm, and the fear of getting stuck. That experience shaped my teaching approach: clear, structured, and always patient. I believe there’s no such thing as a “bad question,” and I make sure students feel comfortable asking anything. With years of hands-on experience and a solid grasp of both frontend and backend development, I tailor each lesson to suit your goals—whether you're just starting out, trying to pass a university course, or aiming to build real-world applications. I don’t just teach syntax—I help you understand how to think like a developer. What sets me apart is my ability to break down complex topics into simple, practical concepts that stick. I bring not only knowledge, but also empathy, encouragement, and a clear path forward—no matter your current level. As a self-taught programmer now working as a professional in healthcare IT industry, I understand the struggles and confusion that often come with learning to code, which is a small subset of the "software engineering mindset". My teaching pattern will not only teach you how to code, but build that mindset that will help you secure your first job, or get better at what you already do and take it to the next level.
I will teach you how software development teams actually work to ship world class software. We will get down to how software are designed, written, tested and deployed. Although there is no firm learning plan as I build a unique one for each individual - at some point we will visit the following topics using a programming language of your choice - high-level system design, low-level system design, system design patterns and databases.
