Teaching Method & Techniques: I take a hands-on, practical approach to songwriting, focusing on both creativity and technique. Each lesson combines theory and real-world application, guiding you through the process of building a song from concept to completion. We’ll cover lyric writing, melody composition, and song structure, as well as strategies for finding inspiration and overcoming writer’s block.
Typical Lesson Plan: In a typical lesson, we’ll start with a quick review of your progress, then dive into a specific area of songwriting, such as crafting a chorus or developing a theme. Depending on your goals, we might work on creating new material, analyzing songs for technique, or refining lyrics and melodies. Each lesson is tailored to your needs and always includes actionable feedback to help you improve.
What Sets Me Apart: What sets me apart is my experience as a professional songwriter and producer. I bring real-world knowledge from the music industry, which means I not only teach the craft but also provide insights on how to make your music stand out in a competitive field. I also prioritize your personal style, helping you discover your unique voice rather than following a one-size-fits-all method.
Who the Lessons Are For: My lessons are for anyone passionate about songwriting—whether you’re a beginner looking to write your first song or an experienced writer aiming to refine your skills. I welcome students of all levels, from hobbyists to aspiring professionals, and tailor each session to match your goals and experience.
