About Natasha
I’m a British violinist based in London, performing solo, chamber and orchestral music regularly across the U.K. and Europe. Recent engagements include work with professional orchestras such as the BBC Concert Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Glyndebourne Touring Orchestra, London Contemporary Orchestra, CHROMA Ensemble, and the Orchestra for VOCES8. Although I’m classically trained, I also love playing other genres on the violin, including pop, jazz and folk music - I play many Candlelight Concerts with my string quartet, and our programmes include the Beatles, ABBA, Queen, Ed Sheeran, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer! As well as performing, I love to teach. I’m currently looking forward to taking on more students. I want my students to make as much progress as they can and have fun, with a positive teaching approach that inspires and encourages them! See my teaching CV below.

My teaching approach will look slightly different for each individual student, however my priorities include training a good ear, technical brilliance, and most importantly, instilling a love of music and playing the violin! These are all things I was lucky enough to learn from my own violin teachers, so I hope to pass them on to my own students. My main priority as a violin teacher is to be flexible. Many aspects of violin playing can be taught in so many different ways, and the best way really depends on the individual student. For example, some of my previous students responded well to lots of fun and games, whilst others preferred to keep things more serious. Whilst I am classically trained, I also love to play and teach other musical genres on the violin. I’m open to teaching my students any kind of music they feel is relevant to them. So if you’re interested in learning how to play your favourite pop, folk, rock, Disney songs etc., I will 100% support and encourage this!
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Natasha.
Perfect! Natasha has been fantastic with our 14 year old, who had lost their motivation for the violin. She is a very attentive and empathetic teacher. In a few lessons, she has really helped with technique and renewed our 14 year old's enthusiasm.

Natasha is a lovely, patient and gentle teacher to our daughter and I always enjoy her teaching when she comes over. She is extremely reliable, lovely mannered, and cares for how my daughter plays her pieces. It's not just about playing the violin, but the technique that she corrects and how she motivates, cares and to me, that's important when teaching young ones to keep their motivation and interest going. We wholly recommend Natasha and missed her dearly as we've left London already. If you have a young one who is into violin and prefer someone calm and lovely (and very smart!) to teach, Natasha is your go-to.
I’ve been a friend and colleague of Natasha’s for many years! I’ve worked with her in various teaching settings, and through these I have seen first-hand how thoughtful and engaging she is with her students, striking a rare balance of professionalism and warmth. She really prioritises creating a supportive environment for her students. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!
Natasha was the perfect tutor for my daughter. Having played an instrument myself I understand how important the right tutor is especially with music. Natasha engaged really well with my daughter and made lessons fun. She would sometimes bring her violin too for teaching or play a little tune for her. My daughter really looked forward to her violin lessons after school! Thank you Natasha :)
I’ve worked with Natasha in our string quartet for over six years. As well as performing regularly together, we have also led some workshops for the Music in Secondary Schools Trust, and through these I have seen the care, skill, and thoughtfulness she brings to teaching. She communicates clearly and adapts sensitively to each individual student, and her calm and encouraging presence helps put them at ease and enjoy the process. I would highly recommend her as a violin teacher!
Natasha is an amazing person first and foremost. She has the kindest heart and approach to teaching but also delivers the quality and excellence of a teacher beyond her years. Her reputation at the Royal College of Music is of technical brilliance and her experience in far wider fields of orchestral and chamber music playing is impressive for her age.
She has a patient nature and a great approach with children of any ages as she adapts well to each individual student. She gets great results and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough!View more recommendations

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions! I’m happy to provide alternative lesson durations - 30 mins, 45 mins, 2 hours - depending on what would be most beneficial and suitable for the individual student. I’m also very open to discussing my teaching approach - being well-informed about what teaching styles the student has responded well to in the past is always helpful, as I always aim to tailor my lessons to suit the student.
