About Ivy
I have over seven years of experience as a full-stack web developer and educator. My mission is to make coding approachable, engaging, and meaningful for every learner. I believe in project-based teaching. Each lesson allows students to build something tangible, reinforcing learning while giving them a portfolio of work that demonstrates their skills. My teaching style balances structure and exploration. I guide learners through fundamentals but encourage experimentation, problem-solving, and creative thinking to foster independence and innovation. My Web Development lessons combine theory and practice. Students start by understanding core principles like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before gradually moving to dynamic applications and frameworks like React or Node.js.
Each lesson includes hands-on coding, live debugging, and project-based exercises. Learners design real websites, implement responsive layouts, and experience the full development cycle from front-end to back-end.
I emphasize practical skills alongside creativity. Students learn UI/UX principles, accessibility standards, and user interaction design, ensuring the websites they build are functional, intuitive, and visually appealing.
Version control, deployment, and optimization are integral parts of my sessions. Learners understand how professional websites are maintained, updated, and enhanced for real-world usability.
I also integrate small group projects and peer review. Students learn collaboration, teamwork, and coding best practices while creating meaningful projects that showcase their abilities.
By course completion, students can independently design, code, and launch websites, combining technical skills with creative problem-solving to succeed in personal projects or professional careers.
