About Linda
One of my current students came to me from Saudi Arabia. He currently lives as a refugee in Canada, and I began working with him in 2015. He started with minimal ability in English, but he is now working as a high-scoring academic writer in a nursing program at a major university. I also tutored his sister and two of her Chinese friends in a nursing Master's program at a university in the UK. I don't mind working with people in different time zones. I have published numerous books and articles as well as short stories and novels. I've also worked as a screenwriter. If you know what you want to write, I can help you!

I like to work with the student's own material, and I tailor the lessons to the student's level, not their grade. Lessons can be in speaking and/or writing. I start with finding out what the student's proficiency is and work from there. I want to know what the student hopes to get from the lesson. I prefer to use Zoom for my classes. I am versatile in many topics, though my Folklore and Mythology degree is a subdivision of Anthropology. I have a deep background in many areas of history, specializing in Roman and Medieval History. I have decades of experience working with college-level students, though I teach high-school level as well.
