About Soumyadeep
I am a professional singer and Indian Classical Music practitioner from Kolkata with over 16 years of experience. I started my musical journey at the age of 6 with Indian classical music, and my passion for music led me to explore various genres such as Hindustani classical, semi-classical, light classical music, Gazals, devotional songs, bhajans, Bollywood music, and more. I am also skilled in playing Harmonium, one of the major instruments of Indian Music.
I believe that everyone possesses a sense of music, but it requires the right exposure and proper guidance to unleash it. Merely learning the techniques is not enough; regular practice and culturing are crucial. This is why I am committed to sharing my knowledge and expertise with aspiring musicians.
As a scholar of West Bengal State Music Academy, national winner of Bharat Sanskriti Utsav, and a performer on Aakashvani Radio, I have had many opportunities to showcase my talents. Most recently, I participated in a popular singing reality show, Zee Bangla SaReGaMaPa (2020-21), where I was among the top 6 participants. You can check out my episodes on the Zee5 app.
