My teaching method is unique for every student. My method always revolves around the students goals. However, I always strive to provide the student with a strong technical basis to enable he/she to express themselves freely, all the while instilling musicianship awareness and knowledge tailored to each student's interests.
My name is Joana and I come from Portugal. I am a violinist based in London where I am currently finishing my Bachelor degree at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
I have always been interested in teaching and started doing so informally since I was 14 years-old. Since then I have taught from complete beginners to uni level students.
If the student's house is too far away I may take an extra travel tariff. If the lesson is cancelled in less than 24h (unless it is an extraordinary occasion) I still expect to be payed.
