About Julie-Marie
Hello ! I am a teacher of French and French as a foreign language. After teaching philosophy and French in high school for several years, I am currently teaching French as a foreign language in Tokyo. I also worked for the educational service of a museum dedicated to photography for more than 6 years. Now, I also offer online courses: - support in French (mainly for learning the language, as well as for writing essays and narrative texts); - French as a foreign language. Hope to meet you! Julie

I base each lesson on the pupil and the problems he encounters (based on the teachings of Dewey and Gattegno). Whatever the subject, I start from a problem encountered by the student (difficulty in reading a sound, difficult conjugation, chaotic sequencing of ideas ...) and I help him find for himself how to find a solution. Then, I suggest a series of activities that allow him to integrate the new material so that he can transfer it to other situations.
With regard to French as a foreign language, I am particularly attentive to the pronunciation and the melody of the language. Also, no vocabulary list or grammar exercises coming out of nowhere. Each exercise is linked to the students life and the problems he encounters.
