My preferred teaching method is lecturing. I will prepare material that I will distribute with the audience. Then as I am systematically explaining through, the student(s) can follow and make notes. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions through the lecture. After every explanation, I will go through some examples. Once the session is completed, Homework is given which is design to consolidate or built up your understanding and your skill to apply the maths in different circumstances. But first of all the first lesson which is free would be used to assess your knowledge and the best method to get you to the required level.
I am a Project Engineer working in the marine industry. I have a master in Civil Engineering from Portsmouth University. Before jumping in the construction industry, I was a maths teacher for year 7,8 and 9 for approximately 7 years.
Education and Qualifications
MEng (Master) in Civil Engineering (September 2014-June 2018)
By undertaking this course, I acquired the knowledge to solve complex civil engineering problems by using mathematical and engineering analysis techniques. I also developed the skill of writing reports and to communicate effectively my solution to professional and non-professional audience. Through a unit called ‘integrated design’, I had the opportunity to implement my civil engineering knowledge to submit a detailed design of an academic building for the University of Portsmouth. I was responsible for the foundation part and my colleagues took onboard other aspects of the building. Through this group project, I developed skills such as working effectively as an individual and as a part of a team to achieve goals.
Engineering and Technology with Foundation Year BEng (Hons) (2013/2014)
Only the first year was achieved as foundation to access the Meng Civil Engineering course.
Year zero foundation (2013/2014) studies covered, equivalent to A-levels:
• Electrical engineering 75%
• Engineering materials and design 87%
• Engineering mathematics 87%
• Engineering principles 81%

The company was dealing with customer’s data therefore no room for mistake. During the Wii fit launch of Nintendo in 2008, I was designated to supervise a team and to dispatch the advertisement materials throughout the UK under restricted time. Fluent in French and English.
• The ECDL qualification covers the Microsoft Office software knowledge.
• I have acquired the skills on AutoCAD for producing high detailed drawings for some coursework.
• I learned to use EPANET as part of the Water Engineering course.
• I have been doing structural Analysis on Lusas
• I also carried life cycle analysis using Simapro.
• I have been briefly introduced in Revit as a tool for the 4th year integrated design project. I took this introductory session to develop further and create a 3D model for our final year group project.
Hobbies and Interests
• Enjoy going to the gym to maintain a healthy habit.
• Enjoy watching some YouTube video about car technology. I am subscribed to ‘Scotty Kilmer’ and ‘Engineering Explained’ channels. I always try to understand the mechanical part of my car and correct my way of driving to minimise wear to my car.
