About Linda
I’m a Psychology graduate with 4 years of experience working one-to-one with children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and EAL. I have experience working in both mainstream and SEN school settings, as well as in an early intervention ABA therapy centre. This diverse background has given me a well-rounded understanding of children with additional needs from multiple perspectives, allowing me to support children in a more informed, empathetic, and effective way. My passion about education stems from believing that each child deserves an inclusive, accessible and tailored environment for learning. I especially find real purpose in being a voice for children who may struggle to express themselves and need someone to truly understand them. My goal as a tutor is not only to support academic progress, but to build confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning. With a warm, patient, and professional approach, I aim to create a safe and supportive space where every child can thrive.

In my lessons, I prioritise more than just academic progress, I also focus on providing emotional and social support, helping with schoolwork, and offering structure tailored specifically for neurodivergent learners. For many children with additional needs, a traditional classroom can feel overwhelming - whether that is due to inconsistent routines or a lack of individualised attention. My one-to-one sessions are designed to offer the consistency and focused support these children often need. I provide a calm, understanding environment where children have the freedom to be themselves, including space for stimming, moments of dysregulation, and emotional regulation support. Every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and fully supported while they learn. Most importantly, no two children are the same therefore, no two lessons should be the same!
