About Sophie
I am new to tutoring but have a passion for teaching. I was trained as an assistant sailing instructor, for which I gave both structured, in class lessons and practical instruction for children learning to sail. Furthermore, I earned my Level 1 Sports Leaders certificate, for which I planned and carried out a variety of sports coaching sessions for children. In a more academic setting, I have often helped classmates throughout my education and have been told I am very helpful. I believe I have the right skills to be an understanding and patient tutor who can help any student achieve their goals.

I am a second year student studying Psychology at the University of Exeter, having also studied Maths and Further Maths at college and achieved very high grades and aspiring to teach maths at secondary school. I am offering tutoring for up to A Level maths. I believe in individual focused teaching where lesson structures are flexible and geared around the student's needs at the time. Students can struggle with many different parts of maths and I will make sure to listen to what exactly they are finding hard so as to respond with a well tailored solution.
