About Lauren
As a Psychology undergraduate who achieved a Grade 9 with full marks in GCSE English, I understand exactly what it takes to reach the highest level. I am passionate about helping students unlock their potential and approach English with clarity and confidence.
Having recently completed the GCSE process myself, I am very familiar with current mark schemes, examiner expectations, and effective revision strategies. I know how overwhelming English can feel for many students, which is why I focus on building both skill and confidence in every session.
I am organised, patient, and professional in my approach. I take preparation seriously and tailor lessons to each student’s individual strengths and areas for improvement. My goal is not only to improve grades, but to ensure students feel capable and secure in their abilities.

I am a Psychology undergraduate who achieved a Grade 9 with full marks in GCSE English. Having recently gone through the education system myself, I understand exactly what examiners are looking for and how to achieve top-band answers.
My teaching approach is structured, supportive, and focused on clear improvement. I specialise in helping students master essay structure, develop strong analytical points, and use evidence effectively. I break down mark schemes into simple, practical steps so students understand how to move up grades confidently.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes focused practice on exam-style questions, essay planning techniques, model answer breakdowns, and personalised feedback. I also help students improve time management and exam confidence, which are key to achieving high marks.
As someone who achieved full marks, I teach students not just how to “write more,” but how to write strategically — using precise language, clear argument development, and strong textual analysis.
My lessons are ideal for GCSE English students aiming to improve their grades, strengthen essay technique, and build confidence before exams.
