About Lakshmi
I am a public speaking tutor with experience competing in multiple public speaking tournaments and representing Kuala Lumpur at a national-level debate competition. I have coached students for 2 years, helping them develop confidence, clarity, and strong communication skills.
My background in acting gives me an added advantage in teaching delivery, voice, and stage presence. I focus not just on what students say, but how they say it, so they can engage their audience and speak with impact.
I am patient and supportive, especially with students who feel nervous or shy, but I also challenge them to grow and become more confident over time. I believe public speaking is one of the most valuable life skills, and my goal is to help students express themselves clearly and confidently in any situation.

In my public speaking lessons, I focus on helping students become confident, clear, and engaging speakers. Many students struggle because they rely on memorised scripts, but I train students to understand what they’re saying and deliver it naturally.
I teach students how to structure speeches, organise their ideas, and present with strong delivery, including voice control, pacing, and body language. Lessons include guided practice, personalised feedback, and techniques to manage nerves and speak confidently in front of an audience.
With my experience competing in multiple public speaking tournaments and at national level in debate, I understand what makes a speech stand out. Whether you are preparing for competitions, school presentations, or building confidence, lessons are tailored to your level and goals.
