About Jessica
I grew up with a lot of challenges and didn’t have the vision of what was possible for me in the world. Education transformed the trajectory of my life. I attended Seton Hall on partial scholarship and hustled to get through, working 3-4 jobs at a time. This led to an incredibly successful career in pharma and biotech which has allowed me to live internationally, most recently in Switzerland where I worked at one of the biggest companies in the world as chief of staff for the Covid Global Strategy team. I received my MBA at UNC Chapel Hill, where I now teach negotiations in the same program. (Don’t tell anyone, but I secretly think negotiations is more helpful in life than calculus.) I’ve traveled the world and founded a non-profit, published a business book and have a novel in development. I have a small custom clothing line and I do very senior level executive coaching, job offer coaching and mentorship. I have two young children who could possibly take over the world and when I ask them, “what does momma always do?” They reply, “Figures things out.” That’s what I’m here to help you do. I believe we all have potential beyond the labels we’ve put on ourselves or others have placed on us. You are capable of more than you know; my job is to help unlock that belief and potential and watch you sign. The work you do with me will lead to paths you may have thought you’d never be able to travel. The ability to take tests or perform against traditional measures does not determine your success in life. So let’s figure out what you need to do to satisfy requirements while dreaming of and planning for all of the ways this leads to your success in life. I’ve had many chapters, overcome many obstacles, and ended up place that I never imagined I could.
My teaching style is not didactic; it’s coaching and collaboration, and it’s individualized to you. We’ll have fun and I’ll challenge you, and you will not only improve - you’ll shine. I teach negotiations to graduate students and I’ve coached hundreds of people. We’ll accomplish the task, but more than that we will show that you are not limited by any course, test, subject or assignment. You are capable of more than you know, and you are meant for greatness.
