About Hafsah
I am a friendly, approachable and caring teacher who strives to build positive and productive relationships with my pupils so that learning can take place effectively in a safe and supportive environment.
I have experience in teaching pupils science from the age of 7 all the way to GCSE content and GCSE preparation. I have previously taught in a primary school and three secondary schools as a teacher of science.
I hold a qualified teacher status having completed a PGCE in Secondary Science with Biology (University of Huddersfield) and I have a Bsc in Medical Microbiology (The University of Sheffield).

Mutual respect between the teacher and the pupils allows learning to happen. Without an understanding of the pupil, their background, their motivations and interests, education remains at a standstill. I therefore aim to establish connections and respect with my pupils so that we can work together to learn and progress.
Learning should be engaging and it should always be put into context so pupils can see why they are learning the topics they are being taught. This ensures my teaching is interesting and my tutor sessions are not a chore but an environment in which my pupils can gain confidence in their ability in order to make the progress that they need to in order to excel in school and future opportunities.
