About Robina

Hello, my name is Robina, and I am an experienced primary school teacher with a passion for helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. I believe that every child can succeed when learning is engaging, supportive and tailored to their individual needs.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with children across the primary age range, supporting them in developing their skills in English, reading, writing and mathematics. My classroom experience has given me a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and the strategies that help children make excellent progress.

I create a positive and encouraging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and celebrating their achievements. My lessons are carefully planned to meet each child's needs, helping them build confidence while developing the skills required for success in school.

As both a teacher and tutor, I am committed to providing high-quality, personalised support that enables children to reach their full potential. Whether a child needs additional help, preparation for assessments, or extra challenge, I strive to make learning enjoyable, rewarding and meaningful.

My goal is simple: to help every child become a confident, motivated learner who believes in their own abilities and enjoys achieving success.

My Approach to Tutoring

As an experienced primary school teacher, I believe every child can succeed in English with the right support, encouragement and teaching approach. My lessons are designed to build confidence, develop key literacy skills and foster a genuine love of reading and writing.

Teaching Techniques and Methodology

I use a structured yet engaging approach, tailoring every lesson to the individual needs of the child. Lessons include clear explanations, modelling, guided practice and opportunities for independent application. I focus on developing reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, handwriting and creative writing skills through a range of interactive activities. Regular feedback and positive reinforcement help children gain confidence and recognise their progress.

I carefully assess each pupil's strengths and areas for development, allowing me to create personalised lessons that address specific learning needs while keeping learning enjoyable and motivating.

Typical Lesson Length

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, providing sufficient time for teaching, practice and review. Shorter sessions can be arranged for younger children where appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

I am an experienced primary teacher with extensive knowledge of the English National Curriculum. I have worked with children across a range of abilities and year groups, supporting them to improve their reading, writing, spelling and comprehension skills. My classroom experience enables me to identify learning gaps quickly and provide effective strategies to help children make sustained progress.
