About Olivia
My name is Olivia, I am 32 years old and have 9+ years of teaching and tutoring children of all ages. I am a qualified secondary teacher and have experience teaching children from 5+ to 18. I specialise in KS2 Sats/Eleven plus, KS3 Humanities, GCSE History/RE and Politics at A-Level. As a committed, driven and passionate teacher and I tailor my lessons to individual needs, I am patient, approachable and flexible to the pupils and I have experience working with children from reception all the way to 18+ with a range of SEND in a range of Lancashire schools. I have a politics degree from a good university, 10 GCSEs A*-C and 3 A-Levels from Lancashire's leading independent school. I work primarily with resource sheets, visuals and power points adapted to suit the pupils' needs. I believe I am a fun, engaging and adaptable teacher who can relate to children of all ages due to my experience. GCSE History and Politics at A-Level are my specialisms and I have worked closely with AQA and EDEXCEL exam boards, I have also taught RE at GCSE. Working with all students is rewarding for me, I love being a teacher and seeing pupils flourish and reach their full potential. More than happy to have a free video chat with you to see if we can arrange a time and I can suit your needs.

My teaching method is learner-led. It is important for teachers to know what knowledge the student needs and work with this. Participation and demonstration are essential to the learning process. I am very approachable and have a warming personality. I have 7 years of very successful teaching and tutoring. I have tutored many students online and in their homes.

As a parent, I couldn't be happier with the support my child has received. The lessons are engaging, well organised and tailored to their individual needs. My child's confidence in History has grown significantly and we've seen a real improvement in both their understanding of the subject and their schoolwork. Olivia is patient, reliable and has a wonderful ability to make historical topics interesting and accessible. Communication has always been excellent and I would highly recommend her to any parent looking for a knowledgeable and supportive History tutor.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Olivia for some time and can confidently recommend her as an excellent tutor. She is incredibly patient, caring, and always takes the time to challenge her students in a way that builds both confidence and understanding. Olivia provides her own high quality resources, making lessons engaging and well structured, and her knowledge spans a wide range of historical topics. She is passionate about teaching and genuinely wants her students to succeed. I would highly recommend Olivia to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and inspiring History tutor
