About Brittany
My name is Brittany and I am a mum of 2, an English teacher and a book lover. I have taught for over 10 years and I love teaching because not many people have experienced the joys of reading. My favourite part of a teaching experience is helping a student master a skill they thought they couldn’t and supporting them in building their confidence. The English language is a part of everything we do and learning about it can be enjoyable and beneficial!

Who am I? Qualified English secondary school teacher with over 10 years of experience as a teacher in mainstream, special needs school and former Head of Department. What do I specialise in? Exam preparation for GCSE English literature and language (many exam boards), creative writing, grammar support, making inferences, quote selection, memorisation of key quotes and context. How long is a lesson? Lessons will usually last one hour, however there is availability for more intensive sessions as exam dates approach. I am also available for longer lessons if you are working on improving or developing a specific piece of writing such as coursework, a CV or personal statement. Who are lessons for? Anyone! I have experience working with students in KS3, 4 and 5.
