CELTA qualified, language degree, Scottish mother. Decades of experience at school, in companies and online. My students mostly work in digital marketing or communication agencies or are students who have to prepare IELTS. The typical lesson lasts a maximum of one hour, especially if online. My approach is based on a careful listening of what the student wants to achieve. It is the first step of a personalized and winning plan. Furthermore, a typical lesson is based on the balance between a minimum of commitment and relaxation: the student is shown a simple photo (a city, a landscape, a person) and will answer very simple but specific questions in a totally free and relaxed. More questions about the student's interests and passions related to that topic will follow. Always in a completely spontaneous way. In the last ten to twenty minutes we focus on improving the sentence, the words and any exercises to do for the next lesson (also depends on the student's commitments).
