About Ilze
Hi, my name is Ilze and I am a qualified teacher from South Africa with experience teaching learners in Grades 4 to 7. I have a strong background in Mathematics, Afrikaans and English, and I enjoy helping learners understand their work in a simple and supportive way.
I am passionate about working with children and helping them grow in confidence. I believe that every learner is capable, and I enjoy finding ways to explain work so that it makes sense to them.
I am patient, friendly and committed to creating a positive learning environment where learners feel comfortable and motivated to do their best.

My lessons are designed to be simple, supportive and adapted to each learner’s needs. I understand that every child learns at a different pace, so I always take the time to explain work in a way that makes sense to them.
In my English lessons, I focus on reading, writing, comprehension and speaking skills. I use examples, activities and discussions to help learners understand their work better, rather than just memorising. I also help with homework, exam preparation and improving overall confidence in the subject.
I create a calm and encouraging environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help learners not only improve their marks, but also enjoy learning and feel more confident in their abilities.
