About Jahaan
I am a qualified English teacher with six years of secondary classroom experience teaching KS3 and GCSE English Language and Literature. I have worked with students across a wide range of abilities, including EAL and SEND learners, and understand how to adapt teaching to suit individual needs.
My approach is calm, structured and supportive. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps, use clear modelling and guided practice, and adapt lessons according to each student's strengths and areas for development.
Whether a student wants to build confidence, strengthen core English skills or prepare for GCSE examinations, my aim is to provide focused, personalised support that helps them make meaningful progress.

Lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and starting point. Depending on the student, we may focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary, language analysis, literature, creative and transactional writing, or GCSE examination skills.
For GCSE students, I teach clear approaches to exam questions using teacher modelling, guided practice, model responses and targeted feedback.
A typical lesson includes a clear learning objective, teacher modelling, guided practice, independent application and personalised feedback. I also identify gaps in knowledge and use these to plan future lessons.
I support KS3 and GCSE students studying English Language and Literature, including AQA, Edexcel and Eduqas.
