About Hayley
I am a qualified teacher with five years experience, teaching in both secondary and primary schools. I have experience teaching my specialist subject, Geography, from KS3 - A Level and am familiar with the OCR B, Edexcel and AQA specifications. Having worked for the past year in a primary school, I have broadened my teaching repertoire, with full competency teaching and helping children prepare for their Maths and English SATs exams. Having taught in schools in Bristol and London, I'm experienced in teaching children, teenagers and young adults from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.

Having taught a wide range of ages and abilities, I understand that all learners are different and respect all individual learning needs and styles. I believe in facilitating independent, student-led learning, where tutoring is at the pace of the learner and material is broken down in a more accessible way. I am confident, yet approachable - traits I believe to be fundamental to create a successful partnership between the learner and tutor. I consider an effective partnership to be essential as I appreciate that sometimes there are barriers to learning, that need to be broken down by the tutor and learner, in order for ownership to be achieved.
